For some women, finding foundations and powders that match the skin without leaving a line of demarcation is a challenge. Remember the three C’s when searching for the perfect foundation.
COMPLEXION – Er on the side of a warm undertones and look for yellow/warm based foundations. Bases with cool or pink/red undertones will turn gray on a warm undertone. According to Prescriptives research, over 70% of all women have a warm undertone. Next, match the foundation to your skin by depth; Light, Medium, Deep. My recommendation is to choose a foundation that matches your SKIN and NOT hyper-pigmentation. My photo below shows how my foundation matches my neck and skin, not the dark areas of my skin.
CONCERNS – Hyper-pigmentation? Unevenness? Acne? These are concerns that will help determine the final C.
COVERAGE – Based on complexion and concerns, choose coverage: Sheer, Medium, Full pigment.
